I know what many of you are thinking, but I can assure that Aaron and I are not brothers. We are just simply two good looking individuals who happen to look strikingly similar to the Hemsworth brothers. My name is Lucas Wessner, I first became involved with leadership in grade 4 when I was nominated to be a class representative for my school's leadership club. Since that time I have been involved with numerous other leadership events, from playing for sports teams to helping organize ALSC. Coming from an athletic background where leadership is key to the success of the team, I have seen the powerful impact leadership can on achieving goals. The sports I have been involved with include; football, basketball, cross country, track and field. Sports are an important part of my life and through leadership I have learned skills that have helped me succeed on and off the field. This years conference is set to be one for the books. I hope to meet you all there! Hello my name is Katelyn Litwin I am 16 years old and in grade 11. I am always very busy with ringette during the winter months and softball during the spring. I have been involved in leadership since grade 10, I attended last year's ASLC in Calgary and also attended CSLC this past fall in Edmundston New Brunswick . I am so excited to see all you guys at our conference, we have been hard at work planning for a year and a bit! See you guys soon! Katelyn :) I know, I know I have a surprising resemblance to Chris Hemsworth. On a separate note, I've been involved in leadership since first grade from Scouts Canada to 4H and finally to organizing Senior High Conferences. I've used leadership as means of advocating those less fortunate than myself and organizing a variety of artistic endeavors. Since High School I set my crystal blue eyes on the Alberta Student Leadership Conference, and this year will mark my third at the conference. The conference has offered an opportunity to connect with Albertan Student Leaders, listen to immaculate speakers and be swept into an electric atmosphere that is truly unparalleled. When I'm not polishing my already god-like body, I'm busy volunteering with Rotary and RAMS LEADERSHIP. I hope to see you at this year's conference, because I know you just can't wait to see me, until then, best of luck. Mostly Sincere, Aaron Kenney Hello, my name is Regan, I am a grade 12 student who loves to play rugby, hangout with friends and make the school a better place! Leadership to me is when people with similar mindsets come together to make a difference wherever we go. That’s why I am so pumped to be part of the steering committee for ASLC 2017. This conference is all about making connections with yourself and the people around you. As this is will be my 3 ASLC, I am looking forward to meeting new people and having the best 3 days! Hey everyone, my name is Erin and I’m part of the steering committee for ASLC 2017. This will be my 3rd year of leadership in my school and I’m in grade 12! I’m super excited to plan next year’s ASLC and it's gonna be a great time. So a little bit about myself. I love sports, art and traveling. I’m a libero on our school volleyball team and I play 3rd base and left field on my ball team. I can't wait for ASLC 2017 and to meet all of you. :) Hey everyone, All of us here with the connected leaders have been hard at work getting ready for next year, since we are planning this super awesome conference. so we decided since your coming, we should tell you about ourselves and what we are most excited for, and what we plan to do. So here it goes: My name is Brock Howard. I am a grade 11 student at LCHS ( Lacombe Composite High School). i have only lived in Lacombe for 3 years. I have been involved with student union/ leadership on and off for four years. I love leadership because no matter where I go, no matter what school, its a common ground between me and several other students. Leadership and other club executive opportunities in LCHS are what got me started in getting to know as many people as I possibly could in my school. The other part about leadership that I love is the opportunities; from meeting new people who believe in what your doing, like your teachers, to students at ASLC from across the province. If you put yourself out there and try to make a difference someone will join you. I plan on making this conference as exciting as possible for everyone no matter what interests you. We all lead in a different way and that's what makes us so much more important. Stay connected Alberta -Brock Hey all,
